Reminder: Pro-Tec Pool Party

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Ok, not to repeat myself here but don’t forget to check out the live HD webcast this Saturday of the Pro-Tec Pool Party. The webcast starts at 1:00 Pacific on Fueltv.com/poolparty This promises to be the gnarliest bowl contest of the year for sure and if you don’t catch it online then you have to wait until August to see it on Fuel TV.

Who do I have my money on? In the pro division I am gonna have to go with Rune Glifberg even though I am really pulling for Omar Hassan. Hands down both skaters are amazing. Also don’t count out Bacon’s own Benji Galloway, he has the skills to put it together for sure. Chris Miller has been running the Masters division for the past 4 years so he definitely has this place wired. Keep your eyes peeled for all in this division, there is some ridiculous talent and experience that these skaters posses.

This is gonna be fun so be sure to check it out.

Searching Google for Skatemission

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

Yes, I am a nerd and wanted to see how SkateMission.com ranked on a Google search. Surprisingly enough, I found this older Volcom video of Remy and Steve Stratton’s trip with Rune Glifberg, Mark Appleyard, Collin Provost, Ivan Rivado, Alain Goikoetxea and Han Claessens skating the Black Pearl Skatepark in the Cayman Islands. The boys skated under the hot sun at the park and chilled on the beautiful Caribbean island and this is a little sneak peak of all the action. Music by Sounder and ASG.

Pretty fun little video that totally distracted me from what I was actually doing. Also interesting in my Google search of SkateMission I found a comapny called Mission that makes inline hockey skates (fruit boots)……huh. Who knew?
